Tucked away amidst the magnificent green hills of Africa and spaced well apart for privacy, our tastefully furnished, comfortable and spacious villas are set on the lower slopes of a tree-covered hillside, blending well into the surrounding miombo mountain woodland with magnificent views into broad valleys and towards the dramatic granite ramparts of the Eastern Highlands. Guests may choose between the larger, fully equipped self catering lodges for families and friends or the more intimate chalets for two with tea/coffee making facilities.
For outdoor lovers our picturesque Cuckoo Campground, guarantees a true experience. Embedded in miombo woodlands and surrounded by lovely views towards hilly mountains, this rustic chic and idyllic camp offers sites available for individual campers as well as a larger site for overland trucks.
Our PaMuchakata Restaurant, aptly named after a local tree which holds much value in the Shona culture, has acquired an enviable reputation for serving freshly prepared food that nourishes body and soul. Take the opportunity to eat outside and enjoy the birdsong, fresh air and the sound of the wind through the trees as you indulge your taste buds and enjoy a delicious PaMuchakata meal. Our charming split-level dining room seats 32 people, with a decor that creates an intimate and homely atmosphere.
Musangano Lodge is ideally located for exploring the many attractions of the Eastern Highlands like the Vumba Mountains, Nyanga National Park and Honde Valley. When you feel like stretching your legs, there are a variety of activities at hand on site and nearby to suit all ages and interests. Enjoy our marked nature trails, ranging from a leisurely one hour afternoon stroll through the woodlands, to a more demanding three hour trek up and down the surrounding hills. The area is rich in indigenous tree species and also has an abundant birdlife, perfect for those interested in bird watching.

In need of a special location for your next workshop, seminar or function? Then look no further. Musangano Lodge has gained an enviable reputation as an excellent conference venue and has hosted workshops for a wide variety of organizations, government ministries and embassies. Our venue can accommodate up to 80 workshop participants and between 100 to 150 guests for banquets or receptions. The venue is surrounded by lush park like gardens and provides an ideal setting for exclusive functions, intimate board meetings, strategic planning workshops or secluded retreats.
